Three rivers, Esk, Mite and Ert come together at the Ravenglass Estuary. Our Web Cam looks out from the front of Rosegarth and shows the convergence of the Rivers Mite and Ert before they join the Esk.

The extensive sand dunes on the other side of the bay are part of the Drigg Nature Reserve, once famous for its gullery it is home to Europe’s largest colony of Black Headed Gulls. Little and Common Terns, Oystercatchers, Cormorants, Dunlins and many other species of waders can be spotted. We have a couple of resident Herons who make a lovely photo when caught in "silhouette" against the setting sun.

Facing West, we are fortunate to enjoy spectacular sunsets resulting in the whole of the estuary and village being bathed in a soft orange glow.
